I love coming here for dak gal bi. There is a vegetarian option and of you're eating for two people I do recommend 1 spicy and 1 normal in your set. The spiciness will be just right - based on my pedas lover tongue. You can add sides which is recommended. Add mushrooms, ramen and cheese! Eat the dak gal bi hot rolled up with the free flow of lettuce and kimchi and you're in heaven. They will serve complimentary sikhye which is one of the reasons I love coming here. The owner couple are also super sweet and nice to you. Parking can be a bit of a pain, but drive to the paid open carpark just about 50m away and you will find ample parking. So do that.
The shop owned and operated by Korean. Some say it's authentic Korean taste. I'm not sure as I never been to Korea and not a fan of Korean food. The service if very good. Food is good. The red sauce is the key. They have spicy and non spicy option. We have the non spicy. We also ordered the Korean chicken soup. No complain. 4star for the atmosphere,it's because it's smoky inside the shop.
Wow I like the Dak Galbi. We added ramen and cheese. Delicious. The pancake, chicken feet, squid and side dishes were fantastic. We ordered the rice drink and 2 more big bottles to go. Really refreshing. The price was really reasonable. Staffs are nice and helpful. The owners were really accomodating especially the lady owner, very friendly.
Went on a public holiday, the que was about 20mins to have a table for us. The lady boss was very friendly. The food was superb! We ordered the normal spicy and hot spicy, for those who likes spicy very much can try to take the hot spicy which is more flavoring. Remember to add some ramen, that's very yummy! The free flow side dishes not many selection, but it's good enough! Their kimchi was very nice. After the meal, we all smells like dakgalbi.
Very friendly owner. Great food. Good job! 24/01/2023 - visited this restaurant again, and it didn't disappoint. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The restaurant was busy but we managed to get a table for 9 people after 10 minutes wait. Ramen is a must addition to the dakgalbi. You can pick two levels of spiciness. Do try this restaurant if you are around the area - a must and you will not regret it.
Uncle Jang Dakgalbi in Sri Petaling offers a satisfying dakgalbi experience. The dakgalbi itself is a highlight – the chicken is tender and well-marinated, and the sauce strikes a good balance between spicy and flavorful. The portion sizes are generous, making it a great option for sharing with friends or family. The interactive cooking process at the table adds to the fun and creates a lively atmosphere. The staff is generally attentive and helpful, guiding you through the cooking process and ensuring you have everything you need. The kimchi and lettuce are unlimited refill to go with the dakgalbi. It's a good value for money at RM23+ per pax, and a fun dining experience, making it a recommended choice for Korean food lovers. PS: Obviously your clothes will smell a bit after all that cooking.
Based on the no..of people, they have a min amount of dakgalbi that they will ask you to order. For examples of you are in a group of 4, you need to order 3 pax worth of dakgalbi. The unlimited side dishes are basic- lettuce, raw garlic, kimchi, samjang, onions and kimchi. The kimchi isn't particularly great. The main character dakgalbi was enjoyable..I like how it wasn't oily. It looks super red and scary but it isn't spicy
